Okay, so I'm not throwing myself a party or anything but today is noteworthy for a couple of reasons.
One year ago today, I published my first post for this blog, It's All in a Name. Since then, this blog has grown and some amazing things have happened...
1. People actually read it
2. Some of you have even mentioned that what I write is helpful to you
3. I get to say I'm using my writing degree on a regular basis
Thanks to you, my awesome readers, I am still posting on homeschool, autism, and striving for healthy living and I imagine I will unless my stats ever drop to zero.
There's a reason it's so easy to remember my blog anniversary, because it shares a date with an even more important milestone. Today is my youngest son's birthday. He is five today and the cliche is true, they grow up so fast. Around the time he was born, Trace Adkins came out with the song, You're Gonna Miss This, and I've tried to make it one of my (many) parenting anthems. I still tear up when I hear it and it's a nice reminder to live in the moment with your kids. So here goes, I've got to post a cute picture of the birthday boy...
In honor of birthdays and presents, please remember to register to win my ABCmouse.com Review and Giveaway. A free 1 year subscription would be a great gift for your child - and your wallet - this summer!
And a sneak peak...Wednesday I will start a new series, Autism Eating, where I'll give ideas that have worked for us on how to get a kid to eat.
Thank you so much, again, for reading. You have blessed me more than you could ever know.
