Product Review: B. Pop-Arty! Funky Pop Beads

I love this toy.

I really like this company, as well.

 Just B. You is a funky, fun, toy company that makes unique and colorful toys.  I buy mine at Target.  They donate $.10 of each toy purchased to Free the Children.

This particular toy,  Pop-Arty!® Funky Pop Beads has quickly become a favorite in the Rinna home and for good reason.  

Yes, the boys think it's a fun toy and it feeds into their love of building things, but here's why I love it:

* Awesome for fine motor skills and sensory
I feel like every OT office should have this toy!  Not only are they dealing with small objects, but the kids are having to push them together and pull them apart which can be very difficult yet beneficial for sensory play at the same time.

* The focus factor
This toy is enjoyable enough that kids want to play with it, but I think of our boys with autism and kiddos with ADHD and I think this toy could help them to work on focusing on an activity.

* The creativity options  
There is no "right way" to play with this toy.  It comes equipped with bracelet and ring cuffs but the boys build long "snakes" and all sorts of treasures for their pirate booty.  They also make fancy jewelry for mommy :).

*Diversity of pieces 
There are so many options to choose from.  This toy goes way beyond making links.

The only downside I could find with this toy (beside the choking factor for kids under 3) is that the beads rolled off the table.  As you can see above, this is easily resolved with a muffin tin.

Do not be scared off because this is a "girl's toy."  I overlooked this toy for months for that reason but when I finally did buy it, I watched them spend hours enjoying it and working it.  Like I said, for any child with fine motor skill difficulties, this is a must have!

And if it makes you feel better, you can buy the jar with the blue and orange lid like we did ;).

Well worth the purchase.
